PingPlotter

PingPlotter is a distributed tool intended to monitor quality of transport channels and to detect possible critical conditions. This solution is based on ICMP protocol. It includes central data warehouse, statistics collector with quality agents module (SmatAgent), statistics gathering clients (SmartPinger) and web-oriented control interface.

Our tool can not only show channel quality graphs and some statistics. What is more this solution can perform critical conditions alerting. Additional system objects called agents included to perform such monitoring. At the time agent signals critical condition notification mechanisms is activated. The notification itself can be implemented in vary different ways: from general e-mail notifications up to voice alerts.

The main data warehouse is implemented using PostgreSQL - open stable platform. Access restrictions and user classes is a plus for overall solution usability.
