BusyHunter - effective solution for FXO disconnect problem noticed by many of VOIP gateways vendors. The actual problem in this case is poor analog busy signal detection algorithm in VOIP gateways due to low processor resources.

Analog busy is the only one signal which marks call session closure initiated by user connected to VOIP gateway through FXO port. Because of poor telephony quality in many countries the algorithm to detect such signal is very sophisticated. Our solution is based on original busy detection algorithm and allows to detect suchs signalling through RTP streams analysing.

BusyHunter software module is RTP stream analyser with realtime decoder. This tool is shipped as a part of SmartGate-based solutions. Special SmartGate-related technology can tee RTP streams to analyser. BusyHunter decodes RTP stream and detects analog busy signalling. After that analyser signals which RTP stream has busy signal and corresponding call termination is performed.

The basic ideas of our detection algorithm brings excellent results even for very bad lines with complex signal specter and several mixed tones.
